Opportunity

Fortune Minerals has a successful history of discovery and acquisitions to assemble a portfolio of mineral deposits in North America. In addition to its NICO Project, Fortune has interests in the following opportunities:

The Arctos Anthracite Joint Venture (AAJV)

The AAJV was established as an international collaboration between Fortune (50%) and South Korea's POSCO (50%) – one of the world’s largest steel producers, in order to develop the significant anthracite metallurgical coal deposits in the Klappan area of northwest British Columbia. The Arctos coal licenses are located 330 km northeast of the Port of Prince Rupert and straddle the existing BC Rail right-of-way and largely completed road bed. The AAJV had intended to complete the railway to the site in order to provide rail access to the Ridley Coal Terminal in Prince Rupert for export of metallurgical coal products to the overseas steel and metal processing industries.

In May 2015, the AAJV announce it had sold its interests in the Arctos coal licenses to BC Rail but the partners maintain the exclusive right to repurchase the licenses for a 10 year period.

Sue-Dianne Copper-Silver-Gold Deposit

The 100% owned Sue-Dianne copper-silver-gold deposit is contained in a 451 ha lease located approximately 25 km north of the NICO deposit in the Mazenod Lake area. Sue-Dianne contains a near-surface resource that remains open for expansion to the east at depth and represents a potential source of incremental mill feed to extend the life of the NICO concentrator.

Salkeld Lake

Fortune has a 100% interest in this 116 ha at property south of Great Slave Lake with copper, silver, gold, lead and zinc showings.

Camsell River NSR

Fortune has a 1% net smelter royalty covering 78 hectares of lands strategically positioned in a former silver mining district, located south of the Eldorado mining district at Great Bear Lake.
